Description : UNO students enrolled in Heather Nelson MKT 3310/820 &821: Principles of Marketing will research and identify target markets, partnership opportunities and tourism trends to create marketing suggestions. Description : Students enrolled in Andrea Grover ISQA 8600: From Data to Decisions, will work with data provided by Heartland Family Services to develop meaningful, decision-focused data analyses based on the interests of the organization and the students' abilities. At the end of the semester, students will present their results and provide the organization with access to all data analysis artifacts (scripts, derived data sets, visualizations, etc.).

Description : Students enrolled in Roma Subramanian's course JMC 3230: Principles of PR will pick a community partner with whom they'll work throughout the semester. They will meet a minimum of three times over Zoom or in-person, if the community partner and the student agree on. Students will work individually to create a PR strategy that meets the community partner's needs. The PR Strategy will be presented by the student and the video will be shared to the community partner by the end of the semester.

Description : UNO speech-language pathology (SLP) graduate students enrolled in CDIS 8540 (001): Autism Spectrum Disorders, will have the opportunity to engage in a service-learning project encompassing interdisciplinary collaboration with Creighton occupational therapy (OT) students. UNO and Creighton students will design activities for participants on the autism spectrum to build upon various gross motor and speech skills during the annual Autism Society of Nebraska (ASN) Fall Festival. UNO graduate students will apply knowledge gained through course content and presentations to this project.

Description : UNO Geography/Geology students in Professor Deere's course partner with AP Environmental Science students from Burke High School to assess soil health in the community. The students gather soil together for testings, and throughout the project, they meet at UNO and Burke High to test the soil and interpret the results together. At the end of the semester, the students present the results of their research at the UNO-OPS Joint Research Symposium.

Description : UNO students from Jodeane Newcomb Brownlee classes (Advanced Practicum, Applied Journalism and an Independent Study) will pair up with Craig Howell from Together to put together a podcast that circulates poverty and transportation. The UNO students will interview an individual who is a DACA recipient to see how her family struggles to get through the day while using transportation. This is a student led initiative, giving students a $1,000 grant to distribute to one community agency - the persuasive speech presentation with the best call to action.
