UNO students will travel to the LCC for the first session. UNO students will host LCC families on UNO’s Dodge Campus and Scott Campus for tours, educational sessions and a final celebration. In coordination with the Douglas County Health Department (DCHD), spices were collected from staff and students at Westview HS. The samples will then be tested during lab time to determine the presence of lead. The results of the lead testing will be shared back with the high school and the students. In this two-semester endeavor, UNO students enrolled in the BIOL 1330 class will work hand-in-hand with P-12 students to create a Pollinator Garden. The primary goal of this project is to raise awareness about the importance of pollinators in our ecosystem and to actively contribute to their conservation efforts. Each student, separately or in pairs, gave a presentation sharing information about speech-language pathology with high school students.
