Description :
Students in the class will work to develop prototypes of innovative technologies that seek to answer the question: "What would make the Omaha metro area a better place to live?" The focus of the project will be to develop technologies that enable equitable access to housing and transportation, as identified by the community partners. Students will go through the whole UCD process including contextual inquiry with experts in urban planning and development to community and neighborhood leaders to determine user needs. At the end of the semester, they will develop and test prototypes for technologies that help address identified goals.
