Description :
The Women in Media panel was an opportunity to highlight the relevance women play in the ever-expanding media landscape. The objective of inviting professional, local women was to initiate discussion regarding the setbacks they faced as women in a historically male-dominated industry. Also, the women on the panel addressed societal expectations thrust upon women in the workforce. The panel discussion served as a catalyst for questions from pre-professional men and women. One common theme throughout the 90 minute panel was gender pay inequality.
