Description : This research suggests credit card purchases tend to be of larger dollar value than those made with cash (Hirschman 1979). Consumer use of credit cards has been related to their desire to fulfill their lifestyle needs, reflect their status in the society, and achieve their goals in life (Bernthal, Crockett, and Rose 2005; Hirschman 1979; PeƱaloza and Barnhart 2011).
