Description : This e-Learning course was designed in collaboration with the University of Nebraska Omaha’s School of Health and Kinesiology with funding from CHI Health. This information is intended for classroom teachers, after school providers, and other youth-serving organizations looking to increase classroom physical activity. While this information will always be applicable, special consideration was paid to current COVID-19 restrictions, including how to include physical activity in a virtual classroom setting. We were able to partner with Dr. Dinkel and her student researcher in order to develop these modules and share them out on our FB and website. These modules were shared out to our building partners and our OPS partners to share with their contacts in order to make classroom physical activities COVID safe.

Description : "Students in the SLA ITIN-4440 class developed a website for our Share Our Table initiative. This website houses our SOT resources and member organization information. The students created and launch the website which is useful for our SOT members. It is a fully operational website where people can learn more about SOT. This is not something that TWP would have been able to launch or produce without the help of SLA and the students since the economic impact was $5000. share-our-table.org"

Description : Becky Brusky's STATS 1100 class were tasked with researching and innovating ideas on how to do data collection for our safe routes to school program. The students came up with innovative ideas to collect data from students that walk, roll, or bike to school. We know surveys are not preferred and there were some ideas that we would like to engage a future SLA class with. TWP will explore the idea of developing an app if an SLA class comes up and has the ability to do this. The idea came from the students themselves which would be a great app for the community.

Description : Becky Brusky's STAT 1100 class mapped social determinants of health in Pottawattamie county utilizing data from the 2018 CHNA and data collected by TWP from Pottawattamie county employees. The class mapped the zip codes where Pott County employees live and created tableaus with the mapped data for the county in order for them to assess the challenges their employees face outside of work. Students provided data analysis that The Wellbeing Partners would not have had access otherwise. Students were able to practice their data analysis skills and compiled relevant data that Pott county will use to assess their employees social determinants of health. This will allow the county to provide services and resources that are needed by their employees.
