Description : In 2018, Live Well Omaha hosted the Changemakers Summit. Two UNO students assisted with the event as volunteers. The students received scholarships to attend the event, which hosted up to one hundred community members at the Highlander Center.

Description : UNO student volunteered for Live Well Omaha by attending health-related public meetings in the Omaha area. The student took notes at the meetings and wrote blogs about how health shows up in public places. Public meetings included the Douglas County Board of Health, Douglas County Commissioner, and Omaha Public Schools Board of Education.

Description : An introductory course for public health majors and other interested students, that examines the foundations of public health. The course includes an orientation to the process and the professions of public health and a consideration of current trends, problems and issues and their implications for public health professionals.
