Description :
UNO Education students in Dr. Sandra Rodriguez-Arroyo's TED 8130: Language, Culture, and Power course work with youth from Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands to create presentations about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on language, culture, and power. Through the project, the students build relationships with each other in virtual meeting rooms by participating in activities and small group discussion. The goal of the interactions is to empower the Boys & Girls Club students in developing their own voice and power while UNO students receive firsthand experience in discussing and applying course topics and frameworks.
